| Puppies In The Pines Choose a Breed |
| Chihuahua: Usually 6-8" tall and under 7 lbs., this little dog is exceedingly intelligent, affectionate and possessive of it's owner. Our Chihuahuas are very friendly & social, not what so many people expect! Ours that mature around 5 lbs seem to do quite well, even with children that are taught how to respect their pet. |
| Miniature Dachshund: Normally under 11 lbs., this sporty & devoted little dog makes an excellent family pet and watchdog. The Dachshund loves it's owner and is very loyal. They require little grooming, after regular toenail clips and routine ear cleaning. The longhaired tends to shed less than the short haired version. If you socialize your Dachshund puppy with other animals and children, they are compatible with all. |
| Miniature Schnauzer: 12"-14" tall, weighing 10-20 lbs,these delightful small dogs make wonderful family pets. Their intelligence and loyalty make them great with children. Non-shedding a plus! We have been raising Schnauzers for 7 years and breed for good temperament, square build and nice hair coats! Most of our Schnauzers are AKC reg & come from nice bloodlines. We have found this breed to be the easiest to train. They make great travel companions and look their best when groomed 3-4 times annually. |
| Shih Tzu: A happy, hardy little dog, it loves children and other animals. Makes a good house pet, suited to Shih Tzu: A happy, hardy little dog, it loves children weighing between 9 and 18 lbs. We've raised Shih and other animals. Makes a good house pet, suited to Tzus for 8 yrs and have Imperial bloodlines that town or country. Average 8-10" tall, non-shedding, produce 5-7 lb puppies. This breed is not as fragile as many people believe, ours love to play in the snow and run through the woods with our boys. We have many colors to choose from: gold/wh, black/wh, solid brindle, liver/white and tri-colored. |
| Toy Poodle: Under 10" at the shoulder, weight varies with bone density. Happy & good tempered, the Poodle makes a delightful pet. Poodles are intelligent, fun loving and non-shedding! Our moms are toy size and dads are "teacup" or tiny toy. We strive to produce a healthy, hardy Toy size, with some being a "tiny" Toy or what many refer to as "teacup". The colors we have are: creme, white, brown, black, silver, black/silver, black/white parti, creme/white parti, cafe' & red. I don't find Poodles hard to keep pretty, as long as they are clipped in a shorter cut with longer ears! |
| Yorkie: Suited to town or country, this little terrier is utterly fearless. Also bossy, affectionate and lively, they make fine pets if you have time for them. They don't enjoy spending a lot of time alone. Average height is 9" & under and most desired weight is under 7 lbs. Be careful when shopping for your Yorkie puppy, a cute little fur ball can grow into a 10-15 lb adult Yorkie! Not what most pet owners are looking for. This is largely due to the size range in the Yorkshire's background, so proceed with caution. We only have a few Yorkies, ours are pets, living in our home and fenced yard. They range in size, from 3 lbs to the largest girl weighing 7 lbs. |
